Franklin County Common Pleas Court, General Division

Undergraduate Education:
Miami University - B.A. Political Science and Sociology

Legal Education:
The Ohio State University, Moritz College of Law - Juris Doctorate

Legal Experience:
I first served as an Assistant City Prosecutor for the Columbus City Attorney's Office litigating misdemeanor offenses within Franklin County. I later worked as an associate at the law firm of Farlow & Associates where I practiced in the areas of criminal defense, education law, personal injury, consumer protection, landlord-tenant, and medical malpractice. I currently serve as an Assistant City Attorney in the Columbus City Attorney's Office where I handle public nuisance cases on the west side of the city.

Candidate Statement:

(In response to the question, "Please explain why you believe you are qualified for the judicial position for which you are seeking election.")

I bring a balanced and fresh perspective which includes experience as a prosecutor, defense attorney, victim witness advocate, and community attorney. I also bring the experience of having worked, volunteered, and lived in one of the most under resourced communities in the entire state. I have dedicated myself to the community and can bring this perspective to the bench.

I have spent most of my career in the courtroom and I have both criminal and civil litigation experience. I have tried numerous cases to verdict before judges and juries and litigated nuisance cases to close down some of the most dangerous properties in Franklin County. I know what it means to run a courtroom, manage a docket, and treat those from all walks of life with respect.
