Candidate Statement:

(In response to the question, "Please explain why you believe you are qualified for the judicial position for which you are seeking election.")

I have been an attorney for 24 years and I have always held the judiciary in very high esteem. My interest in the judiciary began after my first full-time job as a court constable/bailiff for Judge Tommy Thompson. I am an avid supporter of the Constitution of the United States. I believe my well-rounded experience gives me a greater understanding and ability in its interpretation. If elected to the bench, I would bring to the court an intimate and in-depth understanding of both the legal system and the complexity of daily issues challenging our society. Having been in both public and private, criminal and civil areas of law gives me a unique perspective. I am patient, fair, and compassionate. Working my way up to partner gave me the experiences and understanding of its demands. I am a person who stands on principle ahead of political ideology. Thus, I have support of people from both sides of the aisle.
