Candidate Statement:

(In response to the question, "Please explain why you believe you are qualified for the judicial position for which you are seeking election.")

As the incumbent, I have a proven track record of performing well in this position and I am eager to continue. With the rare and unique background of experience in both civil and criminal law, I am well-equipped to manage a combined docket of civil and criminal cases. I am fair, impartial, empathetic and compassionate. I treat all who come before me with dignity and respect. Each case is important, and I give each one the time, attention and detail it deserves. I work diligently to render sound, well-reasoned and timely decisions. I believe judicial power should only be exercised to help people improve their lives while keeping our community safe.
